I believe that children are capable individuals who never give up. Each child is constantly seeking new ways of doing things, which is why it is imperative that we provide them with proper tools and methods for cultivating innovation.

Children are confident. This is one of my absolute favorite parts about working with children. Each child is fearless and believes in themselves. They are open to sharing in authentic ways and will always stay true to who they are. It is important to create environments where they feel it is acceptable to express their true feelings.
Children are like sponges who never stop absorbing the world around them. This is why it is so important for the classroom to be a place full of new information and role models in which a child can look up to.

Here you will find a video of Jose during our trip to the Eiteljorg Museum. We had the chance to make our own game that required the person playing to get all of the tubes onto the end of the stick. I love how he never lets that smile on his face hinder, even if he can't quite beat the game!
“Our task is to help children communicate with the world using all their potential, strengths and languages, and to overcome any obstacle presented by our culture.”
