One of the most impactful experiences of my life was when I was able to visit Casa Shalom orphanage in Guatemala. I worked with children of all ages and created bonds through serving meals, helping out in the orphanage daycare, playing lots of soccer with the children, and lots more! I visited the orphanage two consecutive summers and hope to return soon!
Below is a picture of Kenny! Kenny is a boy from Casa Shalom who I was able to sponsor for four years. Kenny is such a special young man who taught me so many things about how to show love to everyone you meet and that we all have more in common than meets the eye.
